Work in Progress: Fallingwater Follies, for people on the edge

A new musical in development takes place at the Frank Lloyd Wright house Fallingwater during a 1939 meeting of Jewish community leaders. The musical works with the concept of interlocking precarious ecosystems: the house perched above a waterfall, dynamics within the Kaufmann family for whom the house was built, the tensions of different theories of change within the meeting, and the bigger ecology of geopolitics which the meeting aimed to influence. As the architecture of Fallingwater is developed around use of the cantilever, in the show this 1939 meeting is understood as a historical pivot-point.
